The University campus will be closed today (Wednesday 6 January) due to the severe weather conditions.
Only certain operational staff are required on campus, where this is safe and possible, and they will already have been notified by their line managers.
All other staff who are able to work from home are asked to do so.
For those who are on campus already, the Fresh shop will open, staff permitting, between 10am and 2pm.
The Blues Café in the Sports Training Village will be the only catering outlet open and will open from 8.30am, if possible until 8pm.
The Library will remain open and self-service facilities are available.
Snow is currently falling in Bath and further snow is forecast all day.
The Emergency Management Team will continue to keep the position under review. Every effort will be made during the day and tonight to facilitate the campus reopening tomorrow (Thursday).
An update will be posted on the University website by 7.30am tomorrow (Thursday 7 January) about whether the University can function as normal tomorrow.
The University’s severe weather helpline (a recorded message) – 01225 383200 - will also be updated by 7.30am tomorrow.
