Get-ahead with Twitter and LinkedIn

People in Bath are being given the chance to get ahead using Twitter and LinkedIn.

The University of Bath is running evening courses in internet training to help people use these sites for business and career development.

Delia Slucutt, of the University’s Division for Lifelong Learning, said: “Sites like Twitter and LinkedIn are fast becoming a major source of information and communication.

“We are pleased to be offering some of the first social media courses to be held outside London, giving people in Bath and surrounding areas the chance to learn how to use these sites to their own advantage.”

The Twitter course runs between 6.30pm and 9pm on Thursday 25 February, 11 March and 25 March.

The LinkedIn course runs between 6.30pm and 9pm on Thursday 4 March, 18 March and 1 April.

Both are being run at the University’s Claverton Campus and cost £67 for all three sessions.

There is a 50 per cent discount for University of Bath staff.
