Free information day for Psoriatic Arthritis patients

The Bath Institute for Rheumatic Diseases (BIRD) is hosting its second annual Psoriatic Arthritis patient information day on Friday 25 June.

This event is being held at the Royal National Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases, which is affiliated to BIRD, from 10.15am until 4pm and is aimed at patients with Psoriatic Arthritis (PsA), family, friends and those who have a general interest in the condition.

Included in the day will be talks from experts such as Dr Ellie Korendowych who will be speaking about biological treatments for PsA. The afternoon sessions will feature a talk on psoriasis by a consultant dermatologist and a practical session on skin treatments with a specialist dermatology nurse.

Between the sessions there will be plenty of time for questions and discussions

Teas, coffee and lunch will be provided and there will be a chance to talk to the specialists on Psoriatic Arthritis and meet other patients.

The event is taking place at the Royal National Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases, Upper Borough Walls, Bath. This is the second PsA information day following the success of last year’s event.

BIRD is an independent registered charity which raises funds to support research and education into many aspects of bone and joint diseases.

Places are limited and need to be booked in advance. If you would like to know more about the information days or book a place then please contact Anna Dixon or Becca Porteous on 01225 448444 or
