The University is expecting over 5,000 visitors when we host the first of this year’s Open Days on Thursday 21 June.
Prospective students and their families will have the chance to look round the campus and the city and see what we have to offer.
Professor Bernie Morley, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Learning & Teaching, said: “Open Days are incredibly important because they are people’s first impression of the University. We want to create a positive image and make our visitors feel welcome from the first moment they arrive.
“I’d like to thank staff and students in advance for what I know will be a real team effort. I am sure that we will reap the rewards in future.
“As with any Open Day we know the campus will be busy, especially the car parks. As usual we have plans in place for overflow parking but if you can car share to help ease the pressure then please do so. Buses are also likely to be very busy, so please take this into account when making your travel arrangements.”
“If you are on campus then please remember that we are all ambassadors for our University and fingers crossed for a sunny day!”
