Could you be a Public Engagement Champion? Join our network!

 Academics and postgraduate researchers wanted…

  • Are you interested in engaging communities and/or businesses with your research?
  • Do you already actively engage differing publics through your research?
  • Would you like to influence the direction of the University’s public engagement strategy and support colleagues to grow their own public engagement activities?

If so, then we would love to hear from you!

The Public Engagement Unit is looking to form a Public Engagement Network of academics and postgraduate researchers with a passion for engaging publics with research.

Whether your experience is with engaging children, young people, older people, voluntary sector organisations, patient groups, industry, policymakers,  or any other public, we are looking for you to share your knowledge and experience with others across the University.

The role will help you build your research profile across the University as well as enable you to gain recognition for your existing public engagement work. There will be plenty of networking and skills development opportunities as well and, hopefully, lots of enjoyment and personal reward!

For further details of what the role would entail, please email Ed Stevens (Public Engagement Officer) by Friday 19 October 2012.
