Public Interest Disclosure (Whistleblowing) Procedure

The University is committed to maintaining high standards in the way in which it conducts its business.

As required by the law, we have in place a Procedure to enable genuine concerns to be raised about serious malpractice.

The University has recently updated its Whistleblowing Procedure in the light of changes to legislation.

The main changes are that in future disclosures under the Public Interest Disclosure Act have to be ‘in the public interest’ and that personal liability can arise if an individual suffers detriment as a consequence of making a disclosure.

The revised Procedure is available here
