Stand-out subject results in NSS

As well as being voted number one in the NSS (National Student Survey) for the second year running, the University performed well across academic subjects.

Particular highlights include:

Psychology, which has jumped an impressive 22 places this year, Mechanical Engineering and Chemical Engineering were all ranked first or equal first with a perfect score of 100 per cent satisfaction.

Business Studies scored 97 per cent, and was also placed first, along with Mechanical Engineering, for a second year running.

Italian Studies and Electronic & Electrical Engineering, which scored 99 per cent satisfaction, were ranked second and Architecture was joint third.

Other subjects performing particularly well this year include:

  • French Studies moving up five places to eighth;
  • Physics & Astronomy moving up three places to ninth;
  • Mathematics & Statistics moving up 12 places to 11th;
  • Social Work moving up 13 places to 16th.
