No need to enter Clearing this year

The University has, like Oxford and Cambridge, already filled all of its available places and will not be entering Clearing.

The University has seen strong conversion on our initial offers, with many more students opting to have Bath as their firm choice.

A significant rise in the number of applications has enabled us to manage our planned growth through the normal offer cycle, rather than using the Clearing process to “top-up” on numbers.

The average entry qualifications of our intake is also higher across the board this year.

Mike Nicholson, our Director of Student Recruitment & Admissions, said: “The University has seen strong conversion on our initial offers, with many more students opting to have Bath as their firm choice.

“The hard work of our staff and students involved in admissions, the year-on-year strong performance for student satisfaction, investment in facilities and accommodation, and record on offering placement opportunities that lead to excellent employability upon graduation have all combined to mean that we can manage our numbers without any reliance on Clearing this year.

“Other than Oxford and Cambridge I am not currently aware of any other universities who are in this position.”

Our Confirmation helpline will be open on Thursday 13 and Friday 14 August from 8am to 5pm, and on Monday 17 August from 9am – 4pm.

It is possible that callers may attempt to confirm their places through other contact numbers, in which case please refer them to the helpline: 01225 430202.
