Come along to the opening of 4 East South

All staff are warmly invited to attend the official opening of 4 East South building on Tuesday 18 July.

The event begins with drinks at 4pm, and speeches from Professor Sir Mark Walport FRS, Government Chief Scientific Adviser, and Professor Alex Wright, Head of Architecture, will follow at 4.30pm.

During the event, there will be an opportunity to view an exhibition of work by students from the Department of Architecture & Civil Engineering.

Our new £23m building supports the University’s ambitions to be an international leader in graduate education, housing an expanding Department of Architecture & Civil Engineering, currently in the top three of all major national rankings.

4ES will also contain a state-of-the-art data centre to meet the organisation’s technology demands for the next decade.
This event is part of a series of activities which mark the 50th Anniversary of the University.

We hope you will be able to join us to celebrate the official opening of our new building.
If you’d like to attend, please contact the Events Team (including details of any dietary requirements) by Tuesday 11 July: or call ext 5417.
