Internal Comms to launch Self Service Portal

On Wednesday 9 May we’re changing the way you send in messages for University-wide communication by managing them through the University’s Self-Service Portal (TOPdesk).

Managing requests through the portal will mean:

  • Automatic e-mail notifications will keep you informed at every stage
  • A unique reference number is generated for each request so they are easily trackable
  • It is quick and easy to submit requests through the simple on-line forms

The services which will be managed through the Self-Service Portal are:

  • Requests to feature news on the Staff Homepage
  • Requests to feature items in the University Update
  • Using the digital signage
  • Staff Twitter - @UniofBathStaff
  • General communications advice and guidance
  • Communications planning
  • Editing an event already on the ‘What’s on’ calendar
  • Editing the on-line notice board

From 9 May, you will need to visit the Communications your messages to colleagues across the University page to log a request. Just find the service you wish to request and complete the simple form.
