Professor Bill Durodié made Visiting Professor in China

Professor Bill Durodié, a new member of the Department of Politics, Languages & International Studies, was recently made a Visiting Professor of the China Executive Leadership Academy Pudong (CELAP).

CELAP is one of China's top, national Party Schools in Shanghai.

Professor Durodié has previously delivered a number of lectures at CELAP on invitation, including Crisis Management in Urban Environments, Guidance of Social Public Opinions.

Whilst visiting, Professor Durodié also delivered a talk on Western concerns over development in China at the Chongqing School of Public Service (CQPS) - another, regional Party School.

Speaking about his new position, Professor Durodié commented: "I am honoured with this appointment at what is widely recognised to be China's top academy for the development of its highest ranking officials and future business leaders. It recognises a relationship that has developed over five years and I trust will continue to grow now that I am taking up my new position at the University of Bath."
