Hovering over the theme titles reveals the Chinese equivalent.

Theme index page

Hovering over the section headings and subheadings reveals their Chinese translation apart from the Activities section where hovering over the subheadings indicates the type of activity.

Cultural background

The Chinese translation is displayed under the English heading. Clicking on each heading gives access to individual notes. Chinese translations of the keywords are given within the notes. Hovering over the Chinese characters reveals the pinyin transcription.

Dialogues

There are usually 3 to 4 dialogues per theme.
The Chinese translation is displayed under the English heading of each dialogue.
There will be 6 or 7 tabs depending on whether there are 1 or 2 listening comprehension activities.
The tabs are in Chinese, hovering over each tab provides an English translation.

Vocabulary

provides a vocabulary list with access to audio recordings for each individual word

clicking on the Chinese characters or pinyin for each word enables the audio

Transcript

includes a pinyin button to show or hide the pinyin version; alternatively each line can be viewed in pinyin by hovering over it

Reading

Each theme has 1 or 2 items for reading.
Each one includes 2 to 4 tabs.

Title of reading resource

includes an introduction; some introductions are interactive, others may provide a link to a website, etc.

Functions

Each section has 1 to 3 tabs.
Some tabs include access to 'Revision' or 'Extra' functions or both.
Access to individual sentences is by clicking on the Chinese or English sentences.

Each section includes 2 to 3 tabs.

Activities

Each section has 4 to 5 practice activities.
First access: English titles + colour coded icons (vocabulary, language manipulation, grammar, production).
Hovering over the titles also indicates the type of activity selected.
Each activity selected might include several tabs: for example a vocabulary activity can focus on different word lists.

Self test

Each self test has 2 to 4 tabs. There are 2 to 3 production tasks based on the language learnt in the unit including simulated conversations. Learner input consists of selecting from a multiple choice option or typing in Chinese or navigating a website towards finding a solution for a given assignment etc. Tasks are introduced in as an authentic situation as possible. Where needed access is given to relevant audio, transcript, pinyin, translation and feedback support.
