Tai Chi and Qi Gong

Tai Chi 太极 is a Chinese martial art which can be practised for both defence or health benefits. The dual nature of the art makes up the Yin and Yang of Tai Chi. Tai Chi's practice has now spread worldwide but is more familiar to Western practitioners as a sequence of slow movements performed according to a strict order of patterns.

Qi Gong 气功 is the art and science of using breathing techniques, gentle movement, and meditation to cleanse, strengthen, and circulate one's life energy or 'qi' in order to achieve health of mind, body, and spirit.
