Our team works on a hybrid basis, with the flexibility to work from home up to four days per week, helping you balance collaboration with focused, detail-driven work.</p><h2><strong>About the role</strong></h2><p>This is a varied, fast-paced position, ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving and working with a wide range of people.&nbsp;</p><p>You&rsquo;ll support a portfolio of managers recruiting for roles across different departments, from Technicians to Lecturers to professional services. You&rsquo;ll manage end-to-end recruitment activity, from initial vacancy set-up and advert preparation, to issuing contracts and coordinating onboarding communications.</p><p>The role involves providing first-line advice and support via email, phone, and MS Teams, including checking visa requirements, advertising options, interview logistics, contracts, and right-to-work checks. You&rsquo;ll work with our Applicant Tracking System, Payroll system, and MS365 to ensure a smooth and efficient recruitment process.</p><h2><strong>What we&#39;re looking for</strong></h2><p>To be successful in this role, you should be able to demonstrate:</p><ul><li>Strong communication skills and a professional, approachable manner</li><li>The ability to work at pace with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail</li><li>Confidence in supporting stakeholders at all levels</li><li>A proactive, solutions-focused approach</li><li>The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines</li></ul><p>Experience working in a busy HR or recruitment team (in-house or agency) is desirable, as is experience writing content such as job adverts. You&rsquo;ll play a key part in ensuring our processes run smoothly, providing high-quality administrative support to both colleagues and candidates.</p><p>You&rsquo;ll also have the opportunity to develop your HR knowledge and gain insight into good practice, all while working at the heart of a collaborative team.</p><h2><strong>What a Typical Day Might Look Like</strong></h2><ul><li>Managing our shared inbox and responding to queries from hiring managers, external organisations, and employees.</li><li>Updating and maintaining our in-house HR database.</li><li>Collating and preparing information using Excel and MS Teams including relocation, visa and interview expense claims.</li><li>Ensuring all required documentation is collected to satisfy immigration compliance.</li><li>Supporting the Recruitment Team with a range of administrative tasks.</li><li>Helping coordinate the University&rsquo;s annual Work Experience Programme.</li><li>Triaging general queries from hiring managers and HR colleagues.</li></ul><p>This is a busy, varied role that would suit someone who enjoys a lively work environment, great staff benefits.</p><h2 id="isPasted"><strong>About You</strong></h2><p>You&rsquo;ll be someone who enjoys juggling multiple tasks, with strong interpersonal skills and a positive, professional approach.
