            <p>We are an interfaith Chaplaincy Department working with students and staff of all faiths and worldviews, religious or not. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>This role is to support the running of our diverse offer.</p><h2 id="isPasted">About the role</h2><p>We are seeking a Administrative Assistant who can:</p><ul><li>help the team book and run interfaith events in our faith spaces and other university settings.</li><li>interact with Student/Staff enquiries.</li><li>manage the admin required for voluntary and staff appointments.</li><li>provide support on managing and coding the financial running of the Chaplaincy and Interfaith spending.</li><li>co-manage diaries and calendars,</li><li>provide other Admin Support for the department in discussion with the Co-ordinating Faith Leader.</li></ul><p>An understanding and sympathy of inter-faith and world views would be essential in our diverse and inclusive department.</p><h2>About you</h2><p>You will</p><ul><li>be excited by the idea of working in an inter-faith environment interacting with Students and Staff of all faiths and worldviews, religious or not.</li><li>have good organisational skills and be able to manage a diverse workload.</li><li>interact well with our team and students/staff and be able to process requests made, responding well to situations often of a reactionary nature.</li><li>be familiar with standard office software and be prepared to learn university systems and portals with support given.</li><li>have understanding of basic financial reporting or be prepared to learn how to process receipts and invoices.</li><li>enjoy helping to facilitate and maybe join in our interfaith events which we run with our faith societies.</li><li>sometimes be the first point of contact for students/staff so need to be sensitive in relating to situations that arise.</li><li>understand the importance of inclusion and diversity at the university and embrace the support we offer to all people regardless of &nbsp;faith, gender and sexuality.&nbsp;</li></ul><h2>Further information</h2><p>This is a part-time role, to be worked flexibly for 10 hours throughout the week.</p><p>For an informal discussion about the role please contact Ian Spence, Coordinating Faith Leader (<a href="mailto:ids37@bath.ac.uk">ids37@bath.ac.uk</a>) or Emma Baker-Gaunt, Deputy Director - Equity, Inclusion, Culture and Staff Experience at (<a href="mailto:ebg34@bath.ac.uk">ebg34@bath.ac.uk</a>)</p><p>We consider ourselves to be a university where difference is celebrated, respected and encouraged.
