Description: Aims:
To introduce the course and its learning style. To review contemporary issues and developments in the construction industry. To prepare the students for undertaking a dissertation.

Learning Outcomes:
This unit will enable students to:
* participate in group activities and develop higher level skills relevant to industry managers;
* meet staff who teach and support the course;
* participate in a two day group management game;
* obtain help with unit study and revision;
* develop networking opportunities.

Skills:
Oral and written communication, group working, IT.

Content:
Attendance at summer school two (5 days) and the dissertation (2 days) workshop. This will include playing a management simulation game (AROUSAL). Students shall write up their experiences of the game.
