| Description: | Aims: To provide an understanding of the procurement of façades in terms of supply chain, specification, risk management and value engineering. Learning Outcomes: Upon successful completion of the Unit the students should be able to: * evaluate the robustness of different design and procurement processes. * communicate the design, performance and construction requirements for a façade. Skills: Critical assessment of the effect of different procurement routes. Communication of design intent and project objectives. Content: The cladding industry, procurement methods, supply chain management, value engineering, quality management. |
