This unit provides the student with a detailed knowledge and practical understanding of the analysis of sports specific techniques.

Learning Outcomes:
At the end of this unit students will be able to:
* Analyse the technical basis for the techniques identified by the International Federation.
* Understand the key coaching points for each technique.
* Investigate the application of the principles of sports specific technique
* Develop effective intervention strategies to address technical errors.
* Evaluate the technical range of a high level sports performer.

Skills:
This unit will include the following skills:

Techniques of the relevant International Federation
International competition techniques
Formal or basic techniques.
Sports specific applied biomechanical principles.
Historical development of sports specific technique.
Error correction strategies.
