Description: Aims:
This unit aims to provide students with the necessary theoretical and practical tools to understand the, and work in, a multi-currency professional environment.

Learning Outcomes:
At the end of this unit, students should develop understanding of:
(i) Foreign exchange markets;
(ii) Determinants of exchange rates;
(iii) Assessing and managing risks in foreign exchange markets;
(iv) Origins and effects of financial crises.

Content:
(i) Foreign exchange markets and balance of payments;
(ii) International parities;
(iii) Forecasting FX;
(iv) Managing FX risk;
(v) Financial crises.
