Description: Aims:
This unit provides a framework for the development of an evidence-based, rigorous and/or cost effective practice enhancement in an area of practice different from that studied in Advanced Clinical Practice 1.

Learning Outcomes:
On completion of this unit participants will be able to:
1. Critically evaluate the evidence base in an area of professional / clinical practice (or one aspect of it) (intellectual skill, professional skill, key skill; taught, facilitated and assessed)
2. Demonstrate effective strategies for presenting complex information to others in the context of an area of professional / clinical practice (professional, practical, key and intellectual skill; taught, facilitated and assessed)
3. Identify and contribute to the development of local and / or national policy or practice guidance (as appropriate) in an area of relevance to their professional / clinical practice (professional, practical, key and intellectual skill; taught, facilitated and assessed)
4. Demonstrate effective role model behaviour by showing professional / clinical leadership in an area of relevance to their practice (professional, practical skill; facilitated and assessed)
5. Critically discuss personal approaches to developing the research/evidence base in an area of professional / clinical practice (professional and key skills; facilitated)
6. Collaborate with a network (s) of peers and other health professionals to enhance and develop aspects of an area of professional / clinical practice (professional, key and intellectual skill; taught, facilitated and assessed).
