Materials Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
Almost 90,000 data sheets from Sigma-Aldrich chemical companies. Free of charge but registration is required. Once connected, use the search box at the top right of the screen to find a compound, selecting the substance from the next list displayed. Click on the highlighted number next to the compound name to see the full product details. Then use the MSDS link towards the top right of the details screen to view the Materials Safety Data Sheet.
NASA Technical Reports Server (NTRS)
A valuable resource for students, educators, researchers, and the public for accessing NASA's current and historical technical literature. NTRS searches three major STI collections: NACA (1915-1958), NASA (1958-present), and NASA Image eXchange (NIX) (1900-present). NTRS provides access to citations/references, online documents and imagery for conference/meeting papers, images, journal articles, photos, movies, patents, research reports, and technical videos.

Pubmed is helpful for bioengineering: it indexes approximately 3,900 biomedical journals, covering material published from 1966 onward - Guide and Tutorials Part 1 & Part 2.
