Aims: To extend the students knowledge of a range of contemporary sports performance issues.
Learning Outcomes:
Students completing this unit will have extended their knowledge of a range of contemporary sports performance issues. Students will demonstrate an understanding of recent applied sport research.

Content:
Discussion of the development of applied sport research and of contemporary trends within it related to enhancement of sports performance. Applied sport research will be analysed from a range of disciplinary perspectives including (but not limited to) applied physiology, strength and conditioning, sports injury management, applied sports psychology, and sports nutrition.
