Requisites:
Aims: The aim is to introduce students to the principles of developing and pricing new financial products.
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of this unit, the student should be able to:
* evaluate the relevance of financial ratios for predicting stock returns;
* assess the impact the disclosure of information has on stock prices;
* determine the risk of bankruptcy from accounting data.

(i) Impact of accounting ratios on stock performance,
(ii) relevance of disclosure for stock valuation,
(iii) using accounting ratios to predict bankruptcy.
