Statutes of the University of Bath

The Statutes provide the constitutional framework that allows the University to govern its affairs.

The Statutes give details of the members and officers of the University, the roles and responsibilities of statutory bodies, and conditions of service for academic members of staff.

The Statutes can only be amended following consultation and with the approval of the Privy Council. The most recent changes, which disbanded Convocation as a statutory body, were approved by the Privy Council with effect from 19 July 2023.
