Profile
Geoffrey is a Visiting Professor at the Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering.
He was formerly a founder Director of the Interface Analysis Centre (IAC) at the University of Bristol and Director of the Materials Centre South West Laboratory.
Geoff has held numerous EPSRC grants in the general area of studies at external and internal solid interfaces with a strong background in the use of analytical techniques for microstructural analysis and he is the author of over 350 scientific publications.
He has represented Bath and North East Somerset County Council at public inquiries dealing with the environmental behaviour of construction materials.
In recent years he has developed a strong reputation in areas of research involving construction materials.
In 2010 he was awarded an AWE (Atomic Weapons Establishment) Sir William Penney Fellowship.
