The Bath Centre for Therapeutic Innovation (BathCTI) is dedicated to transforming and translating innovation in drug discovery and development to create effective medicines for patient benefit.

The Bath Institute of Rheumatic Disease (BIRD) and the University of Bath are funding one 3 year PhD Studentship in therapeutic innovation in rheumatology aligned with the mission of BIRD.

Principal investigators are invited to submit a project proposal to be considered for funding in 2018/2019 starting in October 2018. Projects must be in the area of therapeutic innovation (target identification/validation, drug discovery & development, medicines design and precision medicine) and aligned with the remit of the funder, BIRD.

All submitted project proposals will be considered against the proposal assessment criteria by an interdisciplinary panel lead by BIRD.
