I have the sad duty to announce that our dear friend and colleague Dr Darrell Alec Patterson, Senior Lecturer in Chemical Engineering, passed away on Sunday 19 February 2017.

Our thoughts are with his wife, Dr Emma Emanuelsson Patterson, and their three children.

We know that Darrell's death will affect colleagues and friends on campus and are offering a range of support to students and staff:
