The University of Bath is the second safest in the UK according to the Times Higher Education Student Experience Survey 2018.

Over 20,000 students were asked the extent to which they agreed that their university offered good security.

The University came second with a high score of 86.2, ranking close behind the University of Surrey, in first place with a score of 86.9.

As well as Security, the Student Experience Survey ranked opinion on elements such as academic experience, student welfare and facilities.

The University of Bath ranked fourth best in the UK.

The University’s Security team is available 24/7, committed to keeping students, staff and visitors as safe as possible.

Brian Schofield, Head of Security Services, said: “We’re delighted to be considered the second safest University in the UK. This is a result of the dedication, passion and support of all staff in the Security team throughout the year, together with the reports from security minded staff and students. We are very proud of our Security Team that go that extra mile to look after the wellbeing of students.”
