HPLC, GC, LC-MS and GC-MS are basic and powerful analytical methods commonly used in pharmacy, chemistry and biology. Researchers in these fields are very likely to use information generated by these techniques. Therefore, it would be very beneficial to understand how these instruments work, how to detect and diagnose problems, and how to interpret the analytical results.
What will be involved?
This training is a one-day workshop for fundamental chromatographic and mass spectrometric techniques. The workshop will cover the essentials that every scientist needs in order to make effective use of these key instruments, including:
- Introduction of HPLC/nanoLC and their use in MS proteomics
- Introduction of GC
- LC-MS data analysis with examples
- Practical session on samples preparation and HPLC operation
This is a free event funded by the Doctoral College Training Fund.
