About the workshop

This session will provide an overview of the best resources for finding journal articles, information and data to support engineering research. We will look in detail at the main engineering database, Compendex and cover other services including IEEE Xplore, the Construction Information Service, ESDU, SAE Mobilus, Knovel and patent databases. This will be an interactive session with time for you to use the databases.

After attending this workshop, you will:

  • be able to select the most appropriate engineering databases for your needs
  • be able to make effective use of these databases in your research
