Payroll

Electronic payslips

The University has now stopped issuing paper payslips and staff will now be receiving electronic payslips.

Why the introduction of E-Slips?

  • Quick and easy access to your current payslip
  • Faster receipt of your payslip
  • Increased security of pay information (passwords are encrypted)
  • Reduced administration around payslip distribution
  • Reduced paper, printing and postage costs.

Electronic payslips (E-slips)

Staff will receive an  "online payslip report" sent to your @bath email address, all staff have both a BUCS username and email account. If you do not know yours please go to the BUCS Help Desk in the Library:

  1. open the email
  2. open the attachment
  3. enter the default password (either your date of birth or national insurance number).

E-slips are typically generated two days before pay day.

Viewing your E-slip

You can view (and print) your e-slip by following these steps:

  1. log in to ESS
  2. check my payslip
  3. select the month you want to view or year for P60 details.

Problems receiving E-Slips

Some email providers may treat E-Slips as spam, so if you do not receive yours please check the junk/spam folder of your email and then adjust your email settings.

Contact us if you have problems receiving your E-slips.
