NurseryPlus 

NurseryPlus is the University's salary exchange scheme for employees using Westwood Nursery.  It will allow these employees to exchange a deduction from their salary prior to tax and national insurance in return for nursery care, which can result in significant savings on childcare costs.

How do I join NurseryPlus?

  1. Read the NurseryPlus FAQs to ensure that this scheme is suitable for you.
  2. Obtain your annual fees schedule from Westwood Nursery to confirm what your monthly and annual nursery costs are going to be.
  3. Download the NurseryPlus application form
  4. Work out the monthly amount of salary you want to exchange under the scheme.  This may simply be the monthly cost of your childcare at the nursery, or less if you think your salary will fall below the University's pay protection limit of £7,500 by deducting the full monthly cost.
  5. Complete the application form and forward it to Alison Flindall in Human Resources by 15th of the month preceding the month you wish your NurseryPlus membership to start. 
  6. Please note that NurseryPlus can only start from the 1st of the month, so you will need to settle your first month's nursery fees directly with Westwood Nursery.
