Eligibility

Staff may take paternity leave if they are:

• the biological father of the child, or

• the mother's husband or partner (including same sex relationships), or

• the child's adopter, or partner of the adopter.

Length of leave

You are entitled to take two weeks paid paternity leave that may be taken as either one two-week period or two non-consecutive weeks of leave.

You can start paternity leave at any time during the first 52 weeks after the birth or placement of the baby. You must give us at least 28 days’ notice of the dates on which you wish to take this leave.

Pay

If you qualify for paternity leave you will be paid at full pay.
