We provide academic skills and maths and statistics support to all students.

We offer Pre-sessional, English language and British Studies courses for international students and foreign language tuition for all students, staff and members of the public.


Foreign Languages

Six students each hold flag of Portugal, France, German, Spain, Italy and Japan.

We offer a range of language courses and other learning opportunities for students, staff and members of the public.

British Studies

Visiting and exchange students taking part in a British Studies lecture.

We offer credit-bearing courses for visiting and exchange students on British literature and culture and English linguistics.

Our aim is to develop student independence by enhancing academic, language and employability skills to ensure each individual can reach their full potential.

The Skills Centre reports to Helen Stringer, Director of Employability & Student Success.
