Below you'll find current professional development opportunities (offered both on- and off-campus), alongside any opportunities to receive recognition (such as prizes) for your engagement. Please note that the University runs its own, annual Public Engagement with Research Awards. Also, the National Coordinating Centre for Public Engagement regularly runs workshops on a range of issues including beginners' guides to public engagement and evaluation and engaging with communities.

  • Changing Minds - Data Stories Workshop: 3 June (Bristol)

    Changing Minds: Data Storie is a one day workshop bringing together researchers and practitioners from the biological recording and citizen science community with communications professionals from across the spectrum of policy, conservation, media and research. Together we will explore the opportunities and challenges of using data to communicate about biodiversity issues as well as using communications techniques to support citizen science outcomes. read more »
