Ian Fairholm has won the award for Outstanding Staff Contribution to Peer Assisted Learning 2016-2017 for his role supporting PAL within the Psychology department.  The department currently runs two Peer Assisted Learning (or PAL) schemes.

PAL is an academic and placement support scheme where trained students become PAL leaders to facilitate learning for students in lower years. Earlier this year both psychology schemes were nominated and shortlisted for the Peer Assisted Learning scheme of the year (2016/17). This is a tribute to the hard work, dedication and time put into the schemes by the PAL leaders.
