Temporary Teaching Exemption Requests 2018/19

The Temporary Teaching Exemption process for the 2018/19 timetable is now open.

This will affect you if you are:

  1. A member of staff who wishes to be exempt from teaching during certain hours of the week.
  2. A part time member of staff who wishes to specify their availability through teaching weeks.
  3. A part time member of staff with a defined hours contract.
  4. A member of staff with a current Flexible Working arrangement

Staff members that do not have exemptions will be assumed to be available for all 55 approved teaching hours each teaching week. Part time staff and those staff with current Flexible Working Arrangements should fill in the form or it will be assumed they too are available for all teaching hours.

Staff members who fall into categories 1 and 2 should complete the full exemption form, the deadline for submitting the form to your Head of Department is 9th March 2018.

Staff members who fall into categories 3 and 4 should complete the Part time defined hours form and return it to Rachel Harvey/Caroline Turrell in the Central Timetabling Office by 9th March 2018.
