University of Bath graduates continue to enjoy some of the best employment prospects in the UK, according to the latest Graduate Outcomes Survey (GOS) published by the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA).
For the 2022/23 graduating cohort, 89% of Bath’s full-time UK-domiciled first-degree graduates in paid employment in the UK were in high-skilled roles 15 months after completing their studies. This figure exceeds the average of 72% for Universities UK (UUK) members, placing Bath 6th nationally among this group of institutions.
Helen Stringer, the University of Bath’s Director of Employability and Student Success, said:
We're delighted that 89% of our graduates secured high-skilled employment, placing University of Bath sixth among all Universities UK members and well above the sector median of 72%. This outstanding result demonstrates the value of a Bath education and confirms that our graduates are highly sought after by employers.
The University's performance in the Graduate Outcomes Survey reinforces its strong standing across national league tables for graduate prospects:
3rd for high-skilled employment – Daily Mail University Guide 2025
5th for career prospects – Guardian University Guide 2025
6th for graduate prospects – Complete University Guide 2026
7th for graduate outcomes – Times & Sunday Times Good University Guide 2025
Bath is ranked in the top 10 overall in each of these UK university guides.

Graduate Voice: Beyond Employment
Beyond employment outcomes, the Graduate Outcomes Survey also captures how well graduates feel their current activity aligns with their future goals.
At the University of Bath, 81% of graduates said their current role fits with their future plans, placing the institution 16th nationally - just behind Oxford and Cambridge (both at 82%).
This strong result highlights Bath’s continued focus on career readiness, underpinned by its Employability Strategy, which helps students define what success looks like for them and build the skills to achieve it.
