The Bath Open Research Group was set up as a grassroots initiative to improve the quality, transparency and accessibility of the research conducted at the University of Bath. It aims to support early career researchers in developing open research skills and welcomes members from across disciplines and faculties. They meet every month in a hybrid format to discuss the latest developments in open research and to offer training and peer support in specific open research skills.
The group also creates resources and hosts workshops to help researchers from all career stages develop as open researchers. This includes primers on pre-registration, registered reports, open data and open code, as well as introductory sessions on pre-registration and other practices. These materials can be found on their Open Science Framework page.
For information about upcoming talks, events and workshops hosted by the group, please see their Bath Open Research Group page on the Psychology Research Hub.
