Students Ellie Burns, Eleanor Timberlake, Kaash Cowie and Khushi Sikand will represent the University of Bath at this year’s One Young World (OYW) summit in Munich.

Funded by each of the University’s Faculties and the School of Management, the delegates will join over 2,000 young leaders from 190 countries. At the summit, delegates will address global challenges across themes including Responsible Tech, the Circular Economy, Anti-Hate, Peace and Security, and Access to Education.

A longstanding partnership continues

Bath has the longest-standing university partnership with One Young World, which was established by the Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences over a decade ago.

This year’s delegates are Ellie Burns, BA Education with Psychology; Eleanor Timberlake, BSc Biochemistry; Kaash Cowie, MEng Chemical Engineering; and Khushi Sikand, BSc Management with Marketing.

They will also act as Co-Chairs of the University’s Student Organising Committee and lead preparations for the 10th Anniversary of the One Young World Bath (OYWB) Forum on 21 March 2026.

The University’s Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Education), Professor Julian Chaudhuri, will deliver a keynote speech at the Munich Summit on 4 November, focusing on “Driving Impactful Leadership in Universities”.
