National Cycling Week is round the corner and on Wednesday 12 June the Climate Action Team is hosting a day filled with active travel initiatives to encourage you and your colleagues to take part and switch up your commuting habits. From cycle rides to running groups we have something for everyone, of all ability and experience levels.
Cycle, walk or run to campus
Give sustainable commuting a go, start your day off right and enjoy your time with nature. Walking, running, or cycling are great alternatives that are beneficial for your wellbeing and the planet!
Each group and activity are aimed at all abilities, and it is a great opportunity to try this out with colleagues and get to know more people who work here at the University. If you take part in these activities, remember you are eligible to sign up for a FREE staff active travel breakfast.
For those who opt to commute individually, you are still able to redeem a free breakfast, as long you walk, run or cycle your way to campus!
Support on the day
The University security team will be stationed by the Holbourn Musuem, kindly offering to collect bikes from anyone that would like to refrain from cycling up the hill. If you do use this service you will need to either catch a bus or walk up the hill from there. The pick up window will be 8:45am - 9:00am.
