We are an international University with aspirations to become even more international. Around 25% of our staff are from outside the UK and we recognise the vital contribution you make to the University.

With the uncertainty around Brexit, we recognise that this has been a particularly difficult time for our international staff and we have tried to offer improved support. But with our exit from the European Union bringing more change, we thought that this was a good time to engage further on the issues which matter particularly to you.

We are setting up an International Staff Reference Group. This group of around 15 people is planned to meet three times a year with the aim of providing a forum through which we can better understand the needs of international staff, and to ensure that our processes and procedures are fit for purpose in the global environment. We are keen that this group has broad representation of different roles, different nationalities, academic and professional services.

If you are interested in being on this group, please email HR-Director@bath.ac.uk by 26 February.

We will then pick a range of people from those who express an interest and look to have a first meeting in March. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to get in touch with either of us.
