The Committee was impressed with the outstanding academic results Bethany had achieved throughout her degree programme, which contributed to her being awarded the prestigious Ted Happold Prize for Integrated Design. Her excellent leadership role as editor in chief of Paperspace magazine and through her work with the Royal Institution of British Architects (RIBA) in helping to lead a climate emergency day in London, was considered exemplary. The Committee recognised Bethany’s contribution to both the University community through the mountaineering club and to the wider community in Bath and beyond, including her work in constructing a pavilion at a plant nursery in Tufnell Park, whilst on placement in London.

Bethany has displayed both exceptional academic strength and a breadth of campus and community involvement that is a great credit to herself and the University.
