All students and staff can enrol on a language course to enhance their career prospects and enjoy a rewarding learning experience. This summer, we’re offering courses in four different languages to help you brush up your existing language skills and get ready for your summer holiday, a placement abroad, or a study abroad year.
Who can enrol
Anyone who is currently a member of staff or a student at the university can enrol on a course at a heavily discounted rate (members of the public can join too, but at a higher fee).
Available courses
The following courses are available this summer:
- French In Your Suitcase (5 days)
- German Stage 1.2 (10 days)
- Spanish In Your Suitcase (5- and 10-day courses available), Spanish Refresher (10 days), Stage 1.2 (10 days)
- Mandarin Chinese In Your Suitcase (10 days)
Please note that with the exception of the Mandarin Chinese In Your Suitcase course, the courses available this summer are not appropriate for complete beginners; please register your interest in our Semester 1 2026 courses if you want to learn a new language from scratch.
How much it costs
Students and staff can enrol at a heavily discounted fee of £49 per person for five-day courses, and £99 per person for ten-day courses. If you’re in receipt of a Bath Bursary, you can apply for a funded place and if your application is successful, you won’t pay anything.
