As part of an Enhancing Research Culture project, staff from the Psychology Department are conducting a study to find out how doctoral students and staff can be best supported when a student changes supervision.
We define a change in doctoral supervision as:
- the departure of a supervisor with significant supervision responsibilities (defined as being formally listed as one of your supervisors during candidature) from the supervisory team
- the addition of a new supervisor with significant supervision responsibilities
- a significant reassignment of supervisor responsibilities within the existing supervisory team
The change could be temporary or permanent.
Student survey
We invite you to take part in the student survey if you are or have been a doctoral (PhD or Professional Doctorate) student at the University of Bath within the last three years, who has experienced any change in doctoral supervision.
Staff survey
We invite you to take part in the staff survey if you are a current or former staff member of the University of Bath who has been involved in a change in doctoral supervision for one or more doctoral students, either as a supervisor or another supporting staff member (e.g. PGR DOS, Head of Department).
