Dear colleague,
As you will be aware, the European Union (EU) has agreed an extension to the deadline for the UK to leave the EU until 31 January 2020.
While this avoids the impact of a ‘no deal’ Brexit in the immediate term, I recognise that this prolongs the current period of uncertainty which affects many staff and students in our University community.
Our Brexit preparations have been both thorough and proportionate, and I would like to thank all those staff members who have worked so diligently to help prepare us for scenarios that we may yet face.
We will continue our preparations and will update you again when we have more information. In the meantime, please monitor our Brexit information and guidance which have been created to guide you in a number of different situations.
