Over the past Month we have been completing a full survey of all Campus Building Fire Dampers. The survey is approaching completion. We now have the task of doing mandatory testing and certification of each damper.

This will need a team of technicians to access all buildings and carry out physical testing. During the works there will be minimal disruption . But, very limited infrequent noise will be produced during the testing.

The works will start on Monday 27 January and will continue until April 2020. The works will begin in Woodland Court on 27 January. There will be no need to access bedrooms, usual protocol of working between 10:00 and 17:00 will be followed.

To avoid lecture theatres when busy and to fit in with planned laboratory shut downs the schedule will be as flexible as possible.
