Support is available to help you use Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) tools effectively and responsibly in your academic work. The Skills Centre has a self-access module on MySkills where you can explore short interactive resources designed to build your confidence.

What's available

The module includes GenAI:

  • Prompts: techniques for producing and refining effective prompts
  • Information Literacy: strengths, limitations and ethical considerations
  • Critical Thinking and Evaluation: analysing and evaluating AI generated content
  • Ethics: considering implications for truth, privacy and sustainability
  • Bias: developing awareness of bias in systems and users
  • Data Privacy and Security: understanding responsible data use and protection

Reflection activities are included throughout, and your progress is tracked on the ‘My Results’ page, with the option to download outcomes for review or discussion.
