The University 2025 Christmas Carol Service’s beneficiary organisation for its retiring collection was Genesis Trust. The Trust helps homeless and vulnerable people in the Bath area. They provide compassionate help to support people with their immediate needs and journey with them as they gain confidence, learn new skills, overcome challenges and make choices to restore and rebuild their lives. The Chaplaincy has been supporting their work for several years. Ian Spence, Coordinating Faith Leader, was delighted to be able to hand over £204.11 to the Trust’s Fundraising Manager on Friday 19 December 2025.

The Chaplaincy Centre also runs a delicious vegetarian soup and/or cheese toastie lunch for staff and students every Tuesday from 12.00noon – 2.00pm during term time for a suggested donation of £1.50. The profit from this lunch is also donated to the Genesis Trust. Last academic year £537.50 was donated to the Trust and so far this academic year the Chaplaincy team are delighted to be handing over a further £207.45.
