START Programme
The University of Bath has been part of the START programme, fully funded by WECA to take you from a tech-based business idea to running your very own start-up. START ran from April 2023 to November 2024 with programme partners, including the Innovation Centre, delivering the training to learners. In total, 120 business ideas were supported across the entire programme with access to 28 hours support and 11 were awarded membership bursaries to the Innovation Centre.

FWD project
Also funded by WECA, the University of Bath has been part of the FWD project, helping businesses, staff and learners be future ready. A range of fully-funded support was offered to health and wellbeing start-ups and SMEs in the West of England since July 2023, and is now coming to an end. In total, 80 companies have gone through a series of workshops, masterclasses or one-to-one support sessions. There are some companies now in the process of being awarded membership bursaries at the SETsquared Bath Innovation Centre. We look forward to welcoming them to our community.
